Doing Our Part

Green + Sustainable Boutique Nashville Hotel

Eco-friendly is part of who we are

At Kimpton Aertson Hotel, we have the environment in mind. We are proud to do our part to care for our environment and reduce our carbon footprint, and yours, as a green hotel in Nashville. We even officially earned our LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. From recycled materials to high efficiency cooling systems and a preference for clean-air vehicles, we've made sustainability a priority. Let's take a peek into the green practices at our environmentally friendly hotel.

Bar Soap

Sudsy Second Chances

Thanks to our partnership with Clean the World, unused portions of our bar soaps don't get tossed into the trash. Instead, Clean the World recycles them to provide hygiene kits for impoverished communities worldwide, as well as areas recovering from natural disasters.

Atelier Bloem Products

Better by Volume

Every bathroom uses large, refillable shampoo, conditioner and shower gel amenities by Atelier Bloem, eliminating the disposal of small plastic bottles.

Plant in Hands

Recycling and Composting

At Kimpton Aertson Hotel, guess what happens to all the cardboard and oil that can be recycled or composted? They get recycled or composted. Not sent to the landfill.

Farm

Farm Fresh

We source nearby farms and other food purveyors to reduce the carbon emissions of long-haul travel and to support our local economy. The bonus to you, our guest, is incredibly fresh cuisine.

Electric Car Charger

Spark Your Ride

Electric vehicle charging stations are available for guests who valet with the hotel — including Tesla Level 2 Chargers and Universal Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers.

Save the Bees

At Kimpton Aertson Hotel, we have two beehives on the 17th floor as part of managing real estate company Buckingham Companies' partnership with Alvéole Urban Beekeeping. Not only do the hives provide refuge for dwindling bee populations, which are crucial contributors to our food supply and maintaining a healthy environment, we also produce locally sourced honey for the hotel and Henley to use, as well as educational meeting and event offerings, such as hands-on honey extraction and beeswax candle-making so corporate guests can learn about these important pollinators.

If you're serious about protecting the earth, know that you have a kindred spirit in Kimpton Hotels — and Kimpton Aertson Hotel in particular. Come for a visit. We'll make sure you have a sustainable stay to remember.
